The Ballito surf report is updated hourly. The surf is consistent year round with the best swells being in the winter months between April and July. In the summer months the water is warm and only boardshorts are required. In winter either a spring suit or 2-3mm wetsuits will be fine. The water quality is generally very good except after summer heavy rains when the water can become brown and dirty.
There is a large variety of waves from beach breaks to point breaks with the waves generally being a bit bigger than the more protected Durban region.
